Mike & Christine Pierce
2025 Annual Fly Fishing Show Presenter
Sunday, 8:30 AM – Pan Fish Fly Fishing
Mike Pierce is a life member of HFFA and over the span of decades has presented programs to the HFFA on tactics for smallmouth bass in rivers, Sylvania Wilderness fly fishing, brook trout in Kwagama Lake (Ontario), Wisconsin spring creek trout, Garden River Lake Huron king and pink salmon (Ontario First Nation Lands), and fishing Newfoundland for Atlantic salmon. He currently lives in Wausau, Wisconsin, with his wife Christine and their two dogs. In the summer they spend as much time as possible in Eagle River, at Christine’s cabin on Yellow Birch Lake, part of the Eagle River chain.
Christine Miller Pierce is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and grew up with four brothers in a family that hunted and fished. She had little fly fishing experience before her first fishing date with Mike, an excursion in personal pontoon boats on Lake Wausau in May 2020. Since then she has refined her casting skills, fly selection, and presentation methods while fishing for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and panfish. Her absolute favorite targets on a fly rod are bluegills and crappies in the lakes of northern Wisconsin and Sylvania Wilderness in Michigan.
