Caleb Corona

2025 Annual Fly Fishing Show Presenter

Friday, 7:00 PM – Smallmouth Bass Fly Fishing

Caleb grew up in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee between blue ribbon trout waters and excellent smallmouth fishing. As you can probably guess, the choice was simple! He fell in love with warmwater fly fishing at the age of 13 and has not looked back. Caleb graduated from Iowa State with a Ph.D. in Entomology and Toxicology and moved to Minnesota shortly after graduating.

Caleb is the owner of Regal Beagle Fly Fishing, a guide service located in the Twin Cities area that focuses on float trips on the Mighty Mississippi River. Guide trips target trophy smallmouth bass and other warmwater species from his Clackacraft drift boat. Caleb has developed a reputation for putting his clients on trophy smallmouth bass that frequently break the five pound mark and crush streamers and topwater flies! He has also developed methods to put clients on fish that are typically thought of as “tough to catch” such as bigmouth buffalo. His goal is to not only catch fish but no leave every person who shares a day in his boat with the knowledge and insights needed to catch fish in a variety of situations. In addition to the guided fishing portion of the business, Caleb ties custom orders of flies for all species of fish with gills.
