Format of meetings

General format is starting meeting around 9:15 and cover any club business and updates for the club. Most meetings will have some form of presentation after we cover business items for the club. Some topics last year were presentations on euro/tight line nymphing, carp fly fishing, as well as having guess speakers like the DNR visit to give update on their local community fisheries program.

Members/attendees are encouraged to bring their fly-tying vise and tie flies during the meeting, but most don’t tie. Atmosphere is casual and a great venue to grow in our favorite sport with fellow fly fishers in the metro area.

All experience levels of Fly tiers – Bring a fly-tying vise and materials and tie flies in casual no format atmosphere. The room has good lighting. Contact Mike to get on distribution list for any changes in schedule and venue. Usually at least a small group of Fly tiers meet most Wednesdays October through March.

Note: HFFA Membership not required to attend either the Central Iowa Fly Fishers meetings or Fly-Tying on Wednesdays in Pleasant Hill. HFFA membership is highly encouraged to grow and support the club long term.
